Previously, updates to personnel approved to conduct research on a BUA were made on Labs At Berkeley (L@B), the web application used to manage lab roster and training information. There is no longer a need to make BUA personnel changes in L@B. BUA personnel changes can now only be made in RSS BUA.
How do I make BUA personnel changes in RSS BUA?

Log into the Risks and Safety Solution Website

Navigate to your BUA

Click on the Personnel section to add or delete personnel.

Important: DO NOT start a renewal, amendment or submit your draft for review at any point during this process.

Training status of BUA personnel should still be tracked on L@B
Personnel changes made in RSS BUA will feed into L@B, where training completion status of BUA users will be shown. Tracking training is important: until training is complete, a user is not approved to work on the research described in the BUA and should not handle biological materials. Double check to see if roles on L@B are accurate. Roles listed on L@B may impact access to other EH&S applications.
