WELCOME TO CHEX

A Chemical Exchange Service for UC Berkeley Faculty and Staff

Through CHEX, UC Berkeley faculty and staff can obtain needed chemicals at no cost. Using the CHEX program means that one less hazardous chemical will have to be disposed of as hazardous waste, thereby protecting the environment while reducing associated hazardous waste management costs. See the CHEX Fact Sheet for more information. The CHEX program sorts sealed and reusable chemicals from the hazardous waste program to be given to faculty and staff who can use them. If you have questions about CHEX, you can call the CHEX administrator at 642-3073 or send e-mail to CHEX@berkeley.edu .
