Laboratory Chemicals

Solids

  • acrylamide

  • cadmium chloride

  • potassium fluoride

Liquids

  • aniline

  • chlordane

  • phenol

Gases

  • ammonia

  • hydrogen fluoride

  • vinyl bromide

Non-Laboratory Chemicals

Storage Precautions for Toxics

Segregate toxics from other hazard classes and store in a cool, well ventilated area, away from light and heat.

Containers should be tightly sealed to minimize exposure to personnel and contamination of other chemicals.

Manage toxic gases, highly toxic gases, and pyrophoric gases in accordance with the campus Toxic Gas Program requirements. Contact toxicgas@berkeley.edu for specifics.
